How to Import Rubber Flooring from China: MOQ, Containers and QC Checklist

Realistic factory MOQs for rubber flooring: 300 m² per color/SKU for regular gym rolls and tiles; 300 m² for OEM custom fleck blends. Trading companies quoting 50 m² "factory price" are reselling someone else's stock at a markup.

Volume planning: a 20GP container holds roughly 800–1,100 m² depending on thickness; a 40HQ holds about 2,200–2,600 m². Mixed-SKU loading is standard for distributors — combine rolls, tiles and pavers in one container to test several product lines with a single freight cost.

Lead times: 7–15 days for stocked colors after deposit; 15–25 days for custom blends including physical sample approval. Add 2–4 weeks ocean freight depending on the destination port.

For gym flooring: SGS or equivalent test reports covering fire rating (EN 13501 / ASTM E648), wear resistance and impact absorption. For playgrounds: fall-height certification (EN 1177 / ASTM F1292). For indoor air-sensitive projects (kindergartens, schools): non-toxic and odor test reports.

ISO 9001/14001/45001 tells you the factory has a management system — but always match the certificate number against the actual test reports for your product batch. A certificate for floor tiles does not cover outdoor pavers.

Three checks that filter out 90% of trading companies posing as factories: ask for the factory's environmental permit (only real refineries have one), ask for production-line video with your order being made, and order a sample — the return address on the courier label rarely lies.

Before balance payment, ask for production photos and a loading video. For orders above USD 30,000, a third-party inspection (SGS/BV/TÜV, typically USD 200–400) is cheap insurance. Our standard pre-shipment package includes lab test results, loading photos and video at no charge.
